Rankings February 19, 2009

Sorry guys if I haven't updated the blog since the February Tournament... the Valentine hangover took longer to wear off than I expected. Any ways it seems that everyone has kept themselves busy playing the game that we all love.

There is something different in this particular ranking because I heard from Poker boy Mark that he wanted to reward the winners of the poker tournament. He granted them bonus points equivalent to double their monetary winnings.

That's why Sid in this particular ranking is up the positive zone.

I feel that this is an incentive for everyone to perform well in the tournaments.
I think there's another one coming up but its currently in the wood work

Rankings February 7 2009

Somebody send Arora a message cuz it looks like he was bumped off the proverbial poker pedestal in our AIM Poker Nights Rankings. Mr.Cynical with his wit and banter manages to
outmatch his fellow poker players to grab top honors.

Another noteworthy achievement is the string of stellar performance of Chris "The Godfather" China to break his way out of the bottom cellar and into 27th place. People around the table has noticed a different style of play... more calculated, more ruthless. Going up against the Godfather requires a lot of guts and a high chip count because you'll definitely need it.

AIM Poker Nights welcome our new players from Butan... Sangye and Pema. They were very quick learners and very animated during the game. Maybe because of the beer hahaha but seriously hope to see you guys more in poker nights.

It was a night of firsts in AIM Poker Nights... Mr.Bond raked in 6,000 points which is the highest ever in one night. He has caught idle players by surprise and is now in the number 2 spot in our poker rankings. He is poised to take on Arora's number 1 spot by force.

Mr.Cynical also won big, especially after finishing off Mystery in the last deal of the night (6 am in the morning to be exact). He raked in Mystery's chips with a diamond A and K Flush.

Watch out for more as our players get better and better

Rankings on January 22, 2009

Poker Rookies joined the AIM PokerNight Veterans last Jan 22. They wanted to try out what they have learned from the Poker Tutorials and it seemed some of them actually learned something.

But the biggest news was there were big movers from the bottom half of the rankings. Le chiffre moved from previous rank of 26 to 22. And Mystery who was down -2800 points gained more points than anyone leaving him now at -1675 points (however he made minimal movement in the rankings.)


PimpAss Paradise continues his winning ways and still has a solid lock on number 2 spot. Semi-newbie Maverick (formerly known as KK) has moved from 17th place to 7th... impressive wins on a couple hands makes a big difference.

The biggest mover from the Poker Night held in Tagaytay was Mr.Cynical finishing off his opponents like a madman. He was on fire that night that all his competitors dropped from their previous rankings.

Maybe a change in scenery does alter ones game and strategy. Watch out for the AIM Poker Tour.

sorry for the late posting... was busy doing some holiday shopping but now its back to poker night mode.

Arora is still leading the AIM pack for the second night in a row. Jitesh (AIM visitor) was just dropping by but eventually played his cards right to grab some points off the poker regulars.
